Location changed, but life did not. 3 busy, active kids and a husband who travels for business, pretty much all of the time. A 112 lb. rescued Weimaraner, who is quite a bit more than a handful. And, I wonder why I haven't been able to keep in touch! My remedy was a blog where I can put everything. Hoping to keep you all informed! Wow! Do I miss you all!

5th grade graduation and the SMART Girls Book Club

Thursday, June 3rd was 5th grade graduation.  Shea was announced with so many awards!  We were so proud of her!  With only one year at Cornerstone Elementary she really made an impression on the teaching staff, administration and the kids!  She was one of only two people in her class that was chosen to be a Peer Mediator.  She had the opportunity to work with the school counselor on resolving conflicts between students of all ages/grades. (I'm hoping she'll bring those skills home with her!)  She also worked in the library reading to the younger students and helping them learn what the library is for.  She was recognized for being a top reader and finishing a long list of books for the Texas Readers Program and the Bluebonnet Reading Program.  She was also awarded for being part of the School Choir and for her entrance in the Science Fair.  Something I am especially proud of her for;  Shea was Commended on her TAKS math and science testing.  This means she only got 2-3 wrong in each test!  TAKS is the statewide test.  She has become an incredibly strong student and definitely was a favorite of her teachers this year! She'll be headed to the Middle School in August!  Where I know she will "shine" even stronger!
